MARNYS® Omega 3 is a liquid food supplement based on fish oil (containing 1.4g Omega 3 per 5ml) that facilitates heart and neural function, supplementing the diet under situations with high metabolic requirement, such as growth, development and ageing.
MARNYS® Omega 3 keeps the properties of fish oil intact, guaranteeing the highest quality standards.
MARNYS® Omega 3 provides 1.2g DHA+EPA, in accordance with the European Pharmacopoeia.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) are essential fatty acids that cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained through the diet. They are part of the phospholipids in the body's cell membranes and clearly influence their structure and functionality. DHA is naturally found in high concentrations in nerve tissues and the retina.
Omegas in MARNYS® Omega 3 are present as triglycerides, which have been shown to have the best bioavailability of DHA+EPA vs. ethyl esters (Dyerberg, 2010).
Omega 3 provides the following properties:
- Maternal intake of DHA contributes to normal brain and eye development in foetus and infant, and to normal eye development in children over one year of age (EFSA).
- DHA contributes to normal brain and eye function (EFSA).
- EPA+DHA contributes to normal cardiac function (EFSA).
MARNYS® Omega 3 and its Omega-3 content is an excellent supplement for those who want to preserve a normal heart and neural function due to growth (children), development in adolescents, and ageing in adults.
MARNYS® Omega 3 is suitable for children and has got lemon flavour. Its liquid format facilitates daily intake.

Omega-3 food sources
Omega-3 fatty acids should make up 5-10% of the total calorie intake. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends eating at least two servings of fish rich in Omega 3 per week. One serving equals 3.5 ounces (100g).
The dietary sources with the highest concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids (especially DHA+EPA) come from marine animals. The following are recommended: salmon, mackerel, albacore, trout, sardines and seafood.
You can also obtain Omega 3 (specifically Alpha-linolenic Acid, precursor of DHA+EPA) of vegetable origin from:
ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil, nuts, chia (sage) seeds, canola and soya bean oil, soya bean and tofu, or avocado.
